The 2023-24 Legislative Session has officially begun! There are dozens of new lawmakers in the State Capitol who need to be educated on personal care. Learn how to help advocate for the personal care industry!

The Joint Finance Committee has officially announced their public hearing schedule on the state budget. This is the public's only chance to weigh in on the budget bill, and it is critical that WPSA have a strong turnout in support of our ask to increase the MAPC rate by 39%.

As we discussed at the conference, we would like WPSA members to volunteer to organize other personal care agencies to attend in their respective regions. If you are interested in being a regional lead, please let us know! WPSA will coach you on how to testify!

The public hearing schedule is:

Wednesday, April 5, 2023, 10 am to 5 pm Waukesha County Expo Center, Main Arena 1000 Northview Rd, Waukesha

Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 10 am to 5 pm UW-Eau Claire, Davies Student Center Ojibwe Grand Ballroom (Third Floor) 77 Roosevelt Ave., Eau Claire

Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 10 am to 5 pm Wilderness Resort, Glacier Canyon Conference Center Sandstone Meeting Room 45 Hillman Road, Wisconsin Dells

Wednesday, April 26, 2023, 10 am to 5 pm Lakeland Union High School 9573 State Highway 70, Minocqua

The public hearings will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. Attendees will be asked to fill out a form upon arrival to be added to the queue to testify.
