DCC TRAINING

WPSA offers three different training programs for both members and non-members that provides an adaptable, team approach with the caregiver, their supervisor (assessor/trainer), and the consumer to ensure that each caregiver have the competencies and skills to perform tasks that each consumer requires safely and effectively. 





DEMONSTRATION-BASED TRAINING

  • Based on DHS regulations and Best Practices

SUMMARY OF INDIVIDUAL TRAININGS:


Direct Care Competency I (DCCI) Core Competencies:

    • Training on the 11 basic Medicaid personal care and supportive home care essential activities of daily living
    • Available to RN's, LPN's, CNA's, and other agency staff who have experience with providing personal care services


Direct Care Competency II (DCCII) Delegated Tasks for RN's:

    • Training on delegated, medically orientated tasks in the personal care and supportive home care programs
    • Available to Registered Nurses only


Direct Care Competency III (DCCIII) Alzheimers, Dementia, & Memory Care:

    • Training on communication techniques and managing challenging behaviors
    • Available to RN's, LPN's, CNA's, and other agency staff who have experience with providing personal care services
